FREE Plant Propogation Workshop for Kids

27 March, 2017

The Riverina Highlands Landcare Nursery is hosting a free school holidays plant propogation workshop to help inspire a new generation of plant enthusiasts.

Through a series of hands-on activities, children will learn how to grow native plants from seed and cuttings.

Children will be sent home with two plants already grown from seed and cuttings with instructions for their planting and maintenance.

The workshop is part of a partnership between Riverina Highlands Landcare Network and Snowy valleys Shire to provide opportunities for residents to help protect and enhance the natural assets of the Shire.

This is a great workshop if you think that your children would love to do some gardening and grow something to be proud of. The workshop is open to youth aged 4-16 with children under the age of 12 requiring an adult chaperone.

All plants, drinks and morning tea are included. Please bring a hat and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday 19th April at the Landcare Nursery on Gocup rd Tumut.  RSVP your interest to Steve Hamill, Landcare Nursery Coordinator on 0427 568 131.
