Nest Boxes for Landcare Members

Re-greening the Riverina Highlands is a 1 year project which aims to protect & enhance the natural assets of the Snowy Valleys Shire.  This nest box program forms part of the project by improving habitat for native animals to use in areas where there are insufficient hollows.

With funding from the Snowy Valleys Council, Landcare members can receive up to 3 nest boxes to be placed in former Landcare plantings or areas of existing native vegetation.  The boxes are being built by the Adelong and Tumut Mens Sheds and can be used as a means of providing artificial hollows for native birds and mammals while natural hollows and habitat are established through Landcare type activities.   For further details please see attached flierFlier – Nest Boxes.
